My 3 year old son is celebrating Valentine's Day at the babysitter's tomorrow.
I combed Pinterest and found this pin. Click the photo for the original source.
We made heart baskets out of scrapbook paper.
It would be a great craft for the classroom, too!
There were lots of other adorable variations, including making it out of fabric.
Fun to make, cute, and oh-so-easy! I had too much fun with color and pattern combinations : )
I punched holes at the top with my heart shaped puncher, laced pink ribbon through the top (pink was my son's idea!), and made tags with cardstock. Some helpful hints: make a pattern when you cut the curve of the heart out of your paper; and cut the slits almost all the way to the top of the curve so the papers won't bend as you weave them. I filled the baskets with bubbles for everyone, dinosaurs for the boys, and glitter bracelets for the girls. Go share what you've made at Tara's blog. Happy Valentine's Day!

Oh my gosh. I tried these one year with my fifth-graders and it was a mess! Half the kids weren't listening, so it was impossible for them to do. I ended up just keeping the ones inside for recess that were really interested in making them. But they are super cute!

Those are SO cute! I love the weaving together of the different paper/fabric. Definitely going to print that idea out for next year! Thanks for sharing :)
